Known as Big City Chefs' "funny guy," Chef Michael's sense of humor and quick wit make him a favorite entertainer among clients seeking interactive cooking classes and dinner parties in Miami. Michael says, "I like to create a fun personal chef experience for my clients, and I try to take the myth out of cooking, stripping away all of its complexities." His approach makes him one of our most popular personal chefs in the Miami region. He began his Big City Chefs career in San Diego, after fleeing New Orleans with his wife during Hurricane Katrina. A graduate of Florida State Univeristy and John Folse Culinary Institute in South Louisiana, he worked at high-profile New Orleans restaurants, including Emeril's Delmonico Steakhouse, as sous chef at the acclaimed Spanish restaurant Rio Mar, and as Executive Chef at Vega. Chef Michael is also the frontman for the alternative rock band Perfect Blue.
